In the phrase "..., what means that...", is it grammatically correct to use what? Please, do not tell me 'which' would be preferable instead of 'what'. Any other option to replace the 'what' will be welcome.

Thank you. In the absence of any additional info or context I simply answered the question. Wondering what will happen...

Still wondering. "What" is incorrect, i've tried to think of any way in which "what" might make sense & nothing fits. It's definitely not a question of preference, English has rules just like every other language, some can be dispensed with, some cannot.

Non-native here, meddling...

"what means that" sounds like a translation from somewhere .... the meaning could be "in other words" or "i.e." but not sure so this is all I can suggest so far

What does that mean? = Ok.
What is the meaning of that? = so so.
What is your meaning / the meaning of (that) = okay.
What do you mean by that? = Ok, but vernacular
As it is, it sounds like English by way of Chinese, Latvian and Arabic.

Give us the complete sentence, if you want a correct answer.
As it stands, you would have to use 'which'
"XXX, which means that YYY...
