German term
zugewandt
German to English
Law/Patents
Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright
What is a good patentese way to say this, other than "facing" or "oriented to"? The client prefers the term "remote from" for "abgewandt," rather than "facing away from," and I'd like to come up with a similar patentese term for "zugewandt."

facing
is perfect patent language, just checked on 2 US patents that I have here (in print form). Your client does not seem to be familiar with patentese.

: Could you give an example of "overlooking" for an inanimate object? Other than mountains?
