From what I can tell, here by "grade" it is referring to quality. Take a look at this definition of "grado" in the Oxford Dictionoary:
grade1 / greId / n
1 a (quality) calidad f; (degree, level): it divides hotels into four grades divide a los hoteles en cuatro categorías; grade A o grade 1 tomatoes tomates mpl de la mejor calidad or de primera; grade 3 eggs (BrE)
