: I wouldn't go with "authorized" because in fact these banks and credit unions do not have to receive authorization to view your credit history - they can view it if you didn't explicitly prohibit them from doing it.

I like Jennifer's idea to restructure the sentence. That might be a good variant. But still if you want a noun I would suggest "beneficiary" - someone enjoying economic benefit.
