sytematic analysis of political factors Explanation: or if you prefer... "systematic description of political factors" - a work around translation for a phrase (opis politologiczny) that isn't quite covered by an equivalent in English. The closest equivalents to "politologia" and "politologiczny" in English are, respectively, "political science" and "related to, involving, cocerning political science". Clearly , "concerning political science" is too awkward, too unwieldy a turn of phrase to be used here. Therefore my suggested work around. Please see my reference where I give my reasons for thinking that "politology" or "politological" would not be the preferred translation, even if these be technically correct. |

| Reference: Politology!?! What's that!!? ;-) Reference information: All I can say is this term is rarely IF EVER used in English. For what its worth, my own educational background is in "Political Science", and I've never encountered to term. I Googled def. "politology"and def. "politicological" and ALL the references I found were to translations of academic articles, typically from some Eastern European language (Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Russian, etc.) I would sooner translate this as "Political Science", so something along the lines of "Political Science analysis" or "description in terms of Political Science"... Please note links to definitions I did find provided below -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 hrs (2009-06-17 03:40:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Incidentally, I don't think "politology" or "politological" is technically incorrect, just that it is not used by native speakers, and will sound alien. :-) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs (2009-06-17 04:17:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- One last thought!
