Estoy traduciendo un articulo medico de the hepatitis aguda fulminante y necesito saber como traducir la palabra fundamental. Yo se que en ingles "fundamental" es la traduccion literal pero quiero saber si en un contexto medico quiere decir lo miso. La frase completa es "Cualquier encefalopatia hepatica que se manifesta en las 26 semanas a partir del inici de los primeros sintomas, sin enfermedad fundamental previa del higado."
