Spanish term

Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Hasta ahora, he colocado:
"whereas this Court set several dates for the parties to reach an agreement regarding this request; whereas said **???** were unsuccessful, due to the failure of the parties to appear at the hearings..."
Muchas gracias por su ayuda.

O: said efforts by the Court were unsuccessful because of the failure

Richard Boulter
: 'Infructuoso' being masculine, it clearly refers to 'number (of efforts/attempts)', which translates better into English by making 'efforts/attempts' the subject.

...said dispositions being fruitless, due to ...
Additional possible wording. Such an arrangement made by means of a 'judicial finding' and a 'court order ' order can be termed 'dispositions' in U.S. legalese. The words suggested for 'infructuoso' are fine, and 'fruitless' is added as a very fluent expression of the concept; others for this could be 'in vain', 'unavailing', 'frustrated', 'rendered moot', etc.

...all of which were unsuccessful due to...
A number of dates were set by the Court in an effort to reach an agreement regarding this request, all of which were unsuccessful due to the failure of the parties to appear at the hearings.
Another rewording which may help. I also liked Taña´s "non-appearance" for "incomparecencia". Saludos :)

Well, grammatically, if it is incorrect, OK. Because I have no good knowledge of grammar. It is me or I!
'them' here is "oportunidades".

: By your own admission, you have "no good knowledge of grammar". Perhaps you should refrain from answering outside of your language pair as you are clearly not helping the asker.
