My suggestions are:
- derubare con l'inganno (to rob in a deceitful way); or
- lasciare in mutande (to rob thoroughly - litterally to leave somebody in its underpants).

I also agree with Paolo Paci\'s suggestion.
\"Lasciare in mutande\" has the same meaning but also a stronger idiomatic trait.
My suggestions are:
- derubare con l'inganno (to rob in a deceitful way); or
- lasciare in mutande (to rob thoroughly - litterally to leave somebody in its underpants).
