Hi all,
The asker chose this option when s/he posted the question so, when that's the case, the system (not the asker) chooses the answer automatically based on the peer agreements the answers have received.

Another point is that the asker asks for a synonym... so, in fact, this should have been an EN > EN question - and I am going to edit it right away.

English to English translation? I agree with both and have sent a request to the moderator to re-examine the allocation of points. I would guess it is a failure of the system - since nobody called attention at the time to the fact that the winning answer was not an answer, the system allocated points based on peer agreement... Now then, who´s going to agree with my answer????

I was under the impression that we could only ask help for translations, not to find synonyms.... which is fairly easy in my opinion anyway.... and I agree with "airmailrpl" it should have been "English to English" Query

Segundo o Thesaurus que consultei, um dos sinônimos para advance seria improve, outra seria present.

Acho mesmo que dependerá do contexto geral.

agree Clara Duarte : A mim parece-me que é a ideia de encaminhar os produtos para uma tal segunda fase, anterior à comercialização, por oposição a outros produtos que terão sido descartados ou sujeitos a melhoramentos por não estarem preparados para a fase final.
