The flow meter xxxxx was specially designed for flow measurements and the hydronic balancing of heating and cooling systems. In practice, operation off the line is guaranteed by using rechargeable batteries. To facilitate handling, null balance is automated. This process of changeover to the measuring position of the measuring head is taken over by an electric motor which is automatically triggered by the flow meter during each measurement. This step largely protects the measuring head against any damage. To protect the mea¬suring head from contamination, the inlet and outlet nipple are provided with integrated strainer inserts. Nip¬ples for replacement are supplied with each flow-meter (see part 17, page 7) and can be replaced by using a standard spanner (spanner size 17 mm).
