などが有名です。
今のように頻繁に発生するようになったのはここ１０年ほどのことでは無いでしょうか？
２００１年のニムダ（NIMDA）
以降のように記憶しています。

It makes me think of a kind of recent events occured
I agree in a way; I think the whole sentences are appealing that it used to be a kind of "even" once a decade, but this is becoming more frequent after NIMDA in 2001.
I do not think you necessarily translate the part "以降のように記憶しています" literally as it doens not make sense in Englsih. I thinki you should more emphasize the fact this is the RECENT events occured.

sorry, maybey better "recent tragities occreed more often (before) could be more appropriate. One thing I could recommend for sure is not to translate "記憶しています" literally. it just means that it makes ALL OF US remember or think taht....(blah, blah, blah.....). To be honest with you, (if I may,) I'd prefer "remind" to "recall". Recall makes people kinda effort to remember, whilst remind could just occur naturally. Still, I DEFO appreciate your agreemente! Thank you very much!
