The generic term "turret drive" relates to the system comprised of the motor[s], gear trains, power source, crewman's manual controls, and related electro-mechanical features used to rotate a turret mounted on a combat vehicle [i.e. LAV armored cars used by the Saudi Arabian National Guard, or main battle tanks used by the Royal Saudi Land Forces]. The system used for fire control -- elevating, depressing, aiming, and firing the vehicle's main armament -- is separate from the turret drive system.
