Testo teatrale. Un padre di religione cristiana racconta di sua figlia che si è sposata con un ragazzo musulmano.
I had a daughter…She fell in love…with a Moslem boy. No matter what we did, how much we spoke to her, how much we prayed, even banning her from seeing him, she eventually converted to Islam, married him and moved to Durban. It broke our hearts.
La mia proposta parziale:
Io avevo una figlia…Si è innamorata…di un ragazzo musulmano. No matter what we did, how much we spoke to her, how much we prayed, anche proibendole di vederlo, lei alla fine si è convertita all’Islam, lo ha sposato e si è trasferita a Durban. Ci ha spezzato il cuore.

: sì, giustissimo, va bene sia la scelta dei verbi sia la nominalizzazione, poi sta al traduttore scegliere lo stile in funzione del testo (in questo caso teatrale)
