English term

sear

English to Arabic Other Military / Defense sniper-grade weapons
In contrast to most heavy , factory-installed triggers , the very impressiv Savage Accu-Trigger is a smooth pulling , crisply breaking trigger that's easily adjusted as low as 1 1/2 pounds.Even at that low setting , it won't go off because-reminiscent of Glock pistols-there's a tiny lever inside the trigger that must be activated to release the "sear".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sear_(firearm)

In a firearm, the sear is the part of the trigger mechanism that holds the hammer or striker back until the correct amount of pressure has been applied to the trigger; at which point the hammer or striker is released to discharge the weapon.

Thank you Mohamed. There are some other pages describing the whole mechanism, but I chose the one with images.

اللُّسين/لسان الأمان

In colloquial Arabic, people call it لسان الأمان.

If I were you and want to see an exact image of a sear, I would google "Savage Accu-Trigger" and see the result. I am afraid the photo quoted in Mohammed's answer is misleading. It is not even a gas regulator!

Here is a demo of how a sear functions.

This is another image naming which part is which.
