Hi! I have this text to translate but I´m not really sure about this sentence.
Es handelt sich nicht nur um Verlust von Erfahrungstiefe, sondern um künstliche Tiefenlosigkeit.

. Schon Heidegger erwähnte das narzisstische und nihilistische Auge, wobei deutlich wird, dass der Sinn des Sehens primär im Vordergrund steht und die restlichen Sinne irrelevant sind. Dies auch deshalb, da Architekturen immer glatter werden und somit an Taktilität verlieren. Mit fortschreitender Zeit wird Architektur immer mehr zu einer Kunst des gedruckten und vervielfältigten Bildes. Dies geht so weit, dass immer mehr spiegelnde Fassaden im Grunde ein Abbild unserer kapitalistischen Zeit zeigen. Es handelt sich nicht nur um Verlust von Erfahrungstiefe, sondern um künstliche Tiefenlosigkeit. Die äußeren Erscheinungsbilder und Oberflächen zielen auf einen Soforteffekt ab, welche keinen nachhaltigen Einfluss mehr auf die Zeit haben. Es geht nur mehr um Brandings von Hüllen, das Buch soll den erreichten Zenit dieser Entwicklung aufzeigen.

It is not about the loss of experiential depth or the loss of depth as experienced but about a lack of depth in terms of construction. I think this is what the artificial means here - it is man-made, essentially.
