Italian term

entrata cremonese

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering sliding doors
Hi, this is from a brochure on sliding/lifiting doors and is part of a table with other info such as width of frame, leaf height etc and I can't for the life of me think what a entrata cremonese is. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Discussion

Russell Jones Jun 17, 2014:
Looking at examples of the term and associated diagrams, this appears to refer to the dimension of the espagnolette bolt protrusion into the keep or frame, with dimensions of between 15 and 55mm. So I believe "entrata" does not refer to the door itself here. From memory (as a former Architect) I believe the term would be "(espagnolette) bolt throw".

Cremone doors

The terms Cremone doors and Cremone bolts seem to refer to French doors or folding panel doors that occur in series with bolts that latch into the top and bottom of the door frame. How this could be part of a table is kind of hard to imagine. If you google Cremone doors maybe you will get an idea. Good luck!

Espagnolette bolts can be surface mounted (as in this example) or concealed within the door (or window) frame.
