Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Daniela Zambrini, Rachel Fell

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Angela Guisci (asker) Oct 27, 2014:
buongiorno a tutti , scusatemi ma non so proprio quale risposta scegliere ....tra Janice e James.... per me vanno bene entrambe ....!
Angela Guisci (asker) Oct 21, 2014:
@ Janice
yes, I know that clothing expresses the personality of the person who wears it. " Clothing with personality " is different . Here it is the blazer which has character... I can say that it expresses the personality of the person. I can say that this clothing item confers personality .. in this case it's ok ... but the meaning is slight different ...
James (Jim) Davis Oct 21, 2014:
It has character // It has personality These are close synonyms when used in this sense, just as "personalità" and "carattere" are in italian, although there are slight shades of difference and also differences in the collocations and wording.
Janice Giffin Oct 20, 2014:
@ Angela I know that it may seem strange to say that an article of clothing has a "personality", but in English language marketing terms, it is used fairly commonly. You only need put "clothing with personality" into your search bar to see what comes back. Clothing advertising strives to show that the garment expresses the personality of the person who wears it. Best wishes.
Angela Guisci (asker) Oct 20, 2014:
sinceramente mi piace più "with a distinctive style or full of character" ... non personality( personality ad un blazer ? ) Mi sembra eccessivo. Grazie a tutti !

with personality

I considered "with distinctive style" but rejected it. I think the idea is to suggest an article of clothing that somehow lends its uniqueness to the wearer.
Example sentence:

Here's a blazer with personality. To a concert, an art exhibit or dinner and a movie, the rock-inspired plaid is sure to attract a crowd of its own.

ho fatto un giretto in rete, a me piace però ho visto che ci sono alcune marche di abbigliamento che hanno tough nel nome, il che complica la situazione.
Comunque non userei character, magari può andare bene anche cool o qualcosa del genere
Note from asker:
ciaoo dand, ma si può riferire ad un capo di abbigliamento ?
ok, grazie !
Peer comment(s):

neutral Janice Giffin : "tough" and "bitchen" are definitely complimentary adjectives of my generation, but I am not sure either would work in this context because they are too slang and a bit dated.

what would you propose then?
neutral James (Jim) Davis : A tough blazer... ???

full of character

If you add "full of" it works perfectly in English (mind you having worn one at school for eight years as a 60s teenager... nothing could be more boring):

Sheepskin Duffle Coat with Ginger Wool - Wested Leather Co
www.wested.com › Mens Fashion
£395.00 - ‎In stock
The coat is full of character with its chunky zip front and bold but traditional horn

"Awesome vintage green leather jacket I found in a thrift store. It's beaten and cracked and full of character."

"... lining and sober customisation provided by the Ducati patch on the right sleeve make this jacket simple but at the same time full of character."

neutral James (Jim) Davis : "Stylish but lacking in character" // stile is one thing carattere is another.

it depends how the rest is translated and if one wants to avoid the personality/character thing
