Non-PRO Spanish to Russian Other Cooking / Culinary Terminology for foods and dishes

ensalada de verdura – ensalada de legumbre in Russian

In German, for example, we say for both “Gemüse” – there is a specific term for “legumbre” which is “Hülsenfrüchte”, but I doubt that many Germans even know what that is; and NOBODY uses this term actively (only if you are a dietist or you sell the stuff). We say “Gemüse” for all the veggie stuff, be it lettuce, tomatoes or carrots or even beans, peas, lentils and the lot.

My English colleague who translated the dishes from Spanish to English gave me “vegetable salad” vs. “bean salad” – well, she made her way round the problem, but not every “legumbre” is a bean-type, so not quite exact, either; there are peas, chick peas, lentils ....

Now, what do the RUSSIANS use?

... and if some Russian person reads this: ОВОЩНОЙ САЛАТ

what would he/she expect? verdura or legumbre? veggies or beans? and do you think there is a clear difference? do people get mixed up? would a Russian say “oh, I didn´t ask for this (beans, peas, chickpeas, etc. = legumbres), I expected vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, etc. = verduras), so please tke it back”??? Is that possible?
