Discussion

Hi Phil, marketers want us to be able to see their products wherever we are in the store, hence an endless variety of displays in strategic places. "At Work" is a consumption occasion, the reason behind the purchase. Others include "Leisure away from home" and "Breakfast at home".

Have I understood it correctly that they're selling colas in the meat section? And what is the relevance to "consumo At Work"?
patyjs (asker) Jan 20, 2015:
Thanks Henry. The presentation discusses how well the product sells in different locations inside a hyper or supermarket and the consumption occasions those locations respond to. Does that help? I'm thinking that perhaps "trend" would work.

cut

cut, as in quota, share, part, proportion, ...

The ST is suggesting that the proportion (as a share of all cola sales in the store), that comes from stacking piles of cola bottles near the meat counter, is increasing (cobra importancia).

I don't see how that relates to 'At Work' as opposed to other 'consumption occasions' - but WASAD that's not part of the kuestion...
