français vers anglais Autre Architecture Transcript of grades (architecture)

Hello,

I have taken on a translation without realising how truly hideous it is and need help!

It consists of academic transcripts from the "Ecole nationale d'architecture".

Problem 1:

On the transcript from the Paris-Belleville site and listed as a course unit:

Théorie: Architecture et Paysage contemporain, histoire sourde du lieu (followed by name of person - possibly the author of a book or paper?).

This is more like a poem or extract from a novel than a course component!

My attempt so far:

Theory: Contemporary architecture and landscape, silent history of the site.

I must admit that I haven't a clue though on this occasion.

I chose "silent" as opposed to "deaf" because this sounded even worse. I chose "site" over "place" for the same reason.

Can anyone see what I can't see?!

I could revert to the agency / client, but I have a few issues so would rather not in the first instance if it is obvious to someone else .
