German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Pensions/Computer Software

I'm working on requirements specifications for pensions software and the term that has confused me is Bestandspflege.

Ordinarily I would translate this as "inventory maintenance" where inventory refers to data in a software context. However, previous translators have translated Bestandsfall as "pensioner record" and "beneficiary record".

So does Bestandspflege actually mean "record maintenance"?

The other KudoZ entries relating to this term (where it is translated as help and support for businesses) do not apply here.

This is one of those cases where I have over-complicated something that I suspect is really simple and I'd be grateful for someone just to confirm the right term please.
