Hello!
The term appears in the maintenance description for slab tracks, the text specifically talks about possible defects of the track rails. I don't really know how to translate "head checks". Does anyone have an idea?
Context:
Many of these defects (depending of their extent) do not require replacing of the rails but standard repair measures.
The typical damages of this kind are:
Riffles
Short corrugations
Long corrugations
Belcrosbies
Head checks
Thank you very much in advance!
