Johannes Gleim: I miss the focus on sustainaibility and ecology. Minergy refers to low-energy-consumption of buildings rather than to construction products. Sorry for disagreeing.

Steffen Walter: Johannes' comment is beside the point because the context clearly says "Gebäudelabels und -standards" (and not "Labels und Standards für Bauprodukte"). I would add "green", hence "green building labels and standards". Think LEED, DGNB, BREEAM etc.

They’re designed to inform consumers, brands, and manufacturers that labelled products are more environmentally friendly than most. While they’re voluntary, they are fast becoming an important competitive factor around the globe. As they are verified through often rigorous processes, eco labels also protect consumers from dubious environmental claims or what’s often referred to as “greenwashing”.
In terms of applicability, a sustainability label focuses on characteristics like responsible sourcing of raw materials, carbon footprint of product, compostability, recyclability, and so on.

philgoddard: You were wrong to disagree with K. Isaac. "Sustainability" is implicit, just as it is in the German. Also, including large numbers of references doesn't necessarily make for a better answer.

-> In the "ÖKOBAUDAT" no standards and labels for buildings or energy efficiencies are given, but for building products. Therefore, the question about building labels is misleading. Alan has obviously confused both.
