Spanish term

predatación

FVA Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Hi!

I think that "predatación" means the assignment of a prior date, but I can't find an equivalent in English. Can you please help me?

This is the sentence where it appears:

Informar al jefe de todas las operaciones que requieran procedimiento de predatación, anulación o modificación.

Non-PRO (1): philgoddard

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Lo sé, ya lo he visto. Parece que es un neologismo (según un enlace que encontré de la Universidad de Murcia), pero yo tampoco la había escuchado nunca. Una errata no puede ser porque se repite varias veces a lo largo del texto...

backdating

Definition: "Backdating is the practice of marking a document, whether a check, contract, or another legally binding document, with a date that is prior to what it should be. Backdating is usually disallowed and can even be illegal or fraudulent based on the situation. Sometimes though, backdating can be acceptable; however, the parties involved must agree to it." (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/backdating.asp)

Example: "Although there are some legitimate reasons to backdate documents in general (for example, an agreement that goes into effect on a certain date but signed at a later date), backdating invoices is almost always inadvisable."

Also: "Sin embargo, puede existir la necesidad de registrar determinadas transacciones con cargo a periodos anteriores al vigente. Para predatar un comprobante es necesario contar con tres requisitos."
