neutral  Daryo: Control centres (human or automated) can be hundreds of kms from the production units, so here these "pulses" could be no more than "sending control signals". We don't now if it's done "by increments" - maybe, maybe not.

In this particular work thermal unit is considered with four area concept. The primary purpose of the AGC is to balance the total system generation against system load and losses so that the desired frequency and power interchange with neighboring systems are maintained.
