Given that it's modern parlance, taken from "ЛИДЕРЫ ДЫШАТ ГЛУБОКО".

Or, alternatively, you can go for 'That hurts, you know! You don't care about by feelings at all!'

Спасибо! Но точно не callous. Как говорится, "имей я по центу за каждый случай, когда за callous тут же следует disregard...". Короче, слово бесповоротно приватизировали извегратели канцелярита и официоза.

Не-не-не, Ирина! Выкажу себя полнейшим - в ошибочном употреблении - "сухарём" и замечу, что "ветряные мельницы" - это иллюзорный, воображаемый противник. Здесь, скорее, применимо толкиновское fighting a long defeat :)

: Всё мимо. As dull as a fish=very drunk (OED); thick-skinned="now esp. 'not sensitive to criticism or rebuff'" (ibid.). // И что? По вашим источникам dull fish=uninteresting person; dried up=not worth paying attention to. При чём тут это?!

: Вы читаете то, на что ссылаетесь? "dull, pedantic person" и "dull and boring": где здесь холодность, неотзывчивость, эгоизм, отсутствие участия? И это не говоря уже о неуместности вкладывания в уста русского персонажа английских "говорящих фамилий".

Discussion
I also didn't know that this was possible to edit an entry and approve it at the same time. I thought it would just save for me personally and not be visible to everyone.
So I changed it to "cold-hearted" because in my translation I didn't write "cold-hearted person". I just said: "You're so cold-hearted! You don't care about me!"
Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions!
Could you please advise at the end which word you used to translate this expression?
Tom won't worry about your insults. He's completely thick-skinned.
Jane's so thickskinned she didn't realize Fred was being rude to her.
Да. Несомненно, это означает равнодушного человека (сарказм).
"Адвокатиссимус, сухарь сухарем, а женщин небось любит..." (Чехов). Констанс Гарнетт перевела это как "dry as a biscuit". Становится очевидно, за что именно Набоков с Бродским критиковали её переводы за то, что это, цитирую, "сухое дерьмо" :)))
"If you are thick-skinned, you do not notice or get upset when people criticize you" (Cambridge International Dictionary of Idioms)
"*thick-skinned: fig. not easily upset or hurt; insensitive" (McGraw-Hill's Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs)
P.S. Впрочем, это мое частное мнение, могу ошибаться.
You asked for more context, so here I will tell you about it. This sentence is in a book I am translating.
The author is talking about three different languages of communications: 1) the language of feelings, 2) the language of facts and arguments, and 3) the language of actions.
An example is given about how a person who speaks the language of feelings may say something like "Я устал от это работы, чувствую себя отвратительно."
Then a person who speaks the language of "thinking" might respond with something like "Тогда отложи её в сторону и езжай домой." This would be a very logical answer.
However, the person who speaks the language of "feelings" might get insulted by such a logical answer and say something like "Какой ты сухарь! Тебе до меня дела нет."
----------------------------------
So I think something like "You're so cold-hearted!" may be a good choice for the translation of сухарь.
gen. сухой; скучный; педантичный
