When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Yes, I really need help translating the entire sentence
Lisa Rosengard May 15, 2023:
Perhaps each group of people has occasion to make their own art and culture be worthwhile. It also means that they can assert or promote their art and culture. (FR: Peut-être chaque peuple à l'opportunité de faire valeur à son art et sa culture. Aussi ça veut dire qu'ils peuvent affirmer et promouvoir leur art et leur culture.)
writeaway May 15, 2023:
@Jennifer I think Asker would like help translating the entire sentence
Jennifer Levey May 15, 2023:
@Asker What is your question?

It is the prerogative of every people to promote its own art and culture.

From the given description of the context, I consider my attempt to be linguisticaly viable.

French term (edited): \"Il revient à chaque peuple de faire valoir son art et sa culture\"

It is up to each people to put forward its art and its culture

It is just my penny for the cause
Peer comment(s):

disagree Tony M : 'out forward' wouldn't be idiomatic in EN here — generally, we 'put forward' an idea, a suggestion; I think the sense here needs to be more that of 'promote'.
