Regarding a Spanish artist who wants to do a project that entails emptying out part of a mountain
I am not sure if this is footprint or some sort of cave drawing of feet.
Querría ver cómo extraer la piedra sin dañar la forma de la montaña ni estropear los vestigios podomorfos que había en su cumbre.

No, these are graffiti, as some of your references show.

: I'd say use 'engravings of podomorphs' and then in parentheses what that means. I also really like "ancient rock carvings in the shape of feet", from here: https://sacred-sites.org/mount-tindaya/

Spanish term (edited):
vestigio/s podomorfo/s
ichnite/s
'Nobody will know what this means', but refers to the footprints of both dinosaurs and (us) Neanderthalers.
Example sentence:
Preserved footprints, also known as ichnites, are a type of trace fossil and a window into the lives of dinosaurs. They formed in the same way our footprints do when walking on soft ground like mud.

I think it's important to note that the term podomorph seems to be deliberately saying "not exactly a tracing of an actual human footprint":
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fuerteventura,_mount...
The wiki article Phil points to explains that their "meaning is still open to interpretation".

Sorry, I forgot to explain my link.
It's a photo of a podomorph. You can see it's very rounded.
Whoever coined the term, is probably alluding that they *seem* to be in the shape of feet, but are pretty obviously not footprints, because they lack that inward slope in the mid-section and different sizes of the toes.
If it were a little squarish they might look like a couple of forts!
