We are working on a patent document and we are frequently encountering the phrase "アノテーションが付与された". Can anybody please help us to understand whether it means "annotations are bestowed on the candidate genes, or given to them, or adhered to them? Also is it a supplementary genes or candidate genes, is there any standard technical term they use? "
