Пианист завоевал золотую медаль и премию, с этого момента он регулярно участвовал и выступал по всему миру. frequently и regularly- синонимы, но есть оттенки, If we use "frequently" there should be gaps between concerts. I believe performer regularly went to different countries to give concerts. This is what I think.
Too many indeed. And most of them frankly absurd, as neither 'regular', nor 'lively', nor, indeed, 'heightened' can be used to denote "Напряжённый, усиленный". But of course, you will never know that unless you consult a dictionary. You will simply continue churning our synonyms like a beginner's thesaurus with no regard for actual, attested meanings and usage norms.
regular could be replaced, if you read carefully as I said "other options can be used". If more context is provided I would give the ideal one. So, there are too many options to choose, lively, regular, many etc. "Интенсивный" can be translated as "regular" when it depends.
Too bad you're above dictionaries, or you might have learned a thing or two. Like, for example, the fact that the word 'regular' has no connotation of intensity whatsoever. One might give regular annual concerts. Or biannual. Or once in a blue moon concerts. They will still be 'regular' (that is, 'steady or uniform in course, practice, or occurrence : not subject to unexplained or irrational variation)', but hardly интенсивные.
Anyone who's got a pair of eyes in their head can see that the document you're referring to uses 'heightened' as 'intensely emotional'. As it rightly should.
It is more clear for you, if it is about "усиливать", то heightened concert if not, then just Performer started giving many concerts or regular concerts.
