мониторинг эффективности инструмента оценки

Russian to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.

evaluate/measure efficiency/performance/effectiveness of the tool, в разных вариантах, почти не дают хитов или дают немножко, но вообще не о том. при этом сам "risk assessment tool" дает 22 тысячи хитов, и это только на строгий поиск по книгам, т.е. это не экзотика какая-нибудь.
значит, есть какой-то более идиоматичный способ сказать то же самое?

буду признательна за ваши идеи.

@Ilan just saw your peer comment today, and it made me smile, as I had left a similar one in a different thread the other day.
I'm not a fan of bettering the original either, unless justified. but it's my long-standing direct client, and they often use those terms interchangeably in their own renditions into EN, so in this particular case it was legit.

but why do you think there are so few hits for the above combinations with monitoring? for Google books, in particular. I posted the question, because I was wondering, maybe there's a usage issue here, of which I'm not aware.

@Sofia Thank you for your input, Sofia.

Agree with Susan 'Evaluate the effectiveness' is exactly how I'd say it too.
Anzhelika Kuznetsova (asker) Apr 2, 2017:
@Susan Susan, thank you for the tip about Google Scholar search, will definitely use it next time.
Somehow, searching Google Books gives just one hit for the same combination, which seemed strange to me. But again, the Google Scholar hits prove it to be quite usable.

As for the lower case, it is not really an issue of grammar, when it comes to internet posts. In my case, it's just a habit, acquired back in the early web 2.0 days, from hanging out at less formal web platforms. It is a writing style some people have adopted, which in no way testifies to their grammar skills, or a lack thereof -- or to anything, really. Just a style of writing on the web.
Sorry if it causes inconvenience.

грамотность PS - Why would a translator deliberately write sentences that do not start with a capital letter -- that is, ungrammatically? Makes it harder to read.
Susan Welsh Apr 2, 2017:
?? I don't see the problem. "Evaluate the effectiveness of the tool" gets plenty of hits in Google Scholar, and is perfectly idiomatic: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q="evaluate the effective...

Monitoring of risk assessment tool effectiveness

This is how I would translate it (based on provided info)

agree Ilan Rubin (X) : Yes, if the original says 'monitoring' then that's what the author intended, so I would use it
