EL PLAN DE ESTUDIOS CON UN PROMEDIO GENERAL DE APROVECHAMIENTO

español al inglés Otros Certificados, diplomas, títulos, CV Highschool diploma from Mexico
i am translating a high school certificate from Mexico into English and I do not want to sound too literal on this phrase:

EL PRESENTE CERTIFICADO AMPARA CUARENTA Y SEIS ASIGNATURAS QUE INTEGRAN EL PLAN DE ESTUDIOS CON UN PROMEDIO GENERAL DE APROVECHAMIENTO

I translated it as:
THIS CERTIFICATE COVERS FORTY-SIX COURSES COMPRISED IN THE STUDY PLAN WITH AN OVERALL PASSING GRADE POINT AVERAGE

This is a translation of an offical document from the Mexican Department of Education that will be used in the United States.

Thank you for your input!
Lorena

THE CURRICULUM WITH A GRADE POINT AVERAGE

plan de estudios > curriculum
promedio general de aprovechamiento > grade point average

I think you're overdoing it with "overall passing", "grade point average" is actually what it is equivalent to.

Plan de estudios es sinónimo de currículo, que a su vez deriva del vocablo latín curriculum que significa pista de carreras. Es decir la trayectoria que un corredor o un caballo debe seguir para concluir una carrera.

The BSBA curriculum allow you to complete all degree requirements, one semester abroad and two internship semesters in four years. The four-year curriculum check-list suggests the order in which to take classes, but you do not have to complete the degree in the order shown on the check-list.

Note from asker:
Thank you Robert, I read my translation and it is not necessary to add overall passing, just leave it as grade point average.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

".....grades in the United States are measured by a number called grade-point average, or GPA. Grade-point average is the cumulative average of the grades in all of a student’s classes, and is based on a scale of 0 to 4.0. Grade point average is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of credit hours attempted...."
