I just saw that there was a new release of WordFast Pro, and I wanted to upgrade from the old version of Pro, but going to the website I simply cannot tell how to go about it. There seem to be no links to it - I can download a trial version or buy a new licence all together, but that is not really what I had in mind.
Hope someone can help me.

All I had to do is to download the latest trial version 2.3. You need to doubleclick the file. It will remove the older version of WF and install the latest version. I didn't have to go the hard way and apply for a new licence. The older licence was re-used.
