Dear Everyone,
Thank you for this great opportunity to join your team!
I have been working as a translator for 5 years. Before that, I spent 7 years studying English at the University of Latvia. After graduation it seemed to me that I knew and could translate anything since I had quite good achievements and rather high self-esteem :) Only when I started working as a translator did I come to realize that despite my university degrees there was so much more to learn that life was not enough! I plunged into the ocean of words, meanings, terms, notions, and connotations and understood that without experience all my previously acquired knowledge cost nothing. I did my best to learn every little thing my more experienced colleagues could teach me so that in the long run I could proudly declare myself a good translator...
Time flows and there are still a lot for me to learn, but this time I can also seek some professional support here. It goes without saying, that in my turn, I would be happy to help whoever might need it.
Although I do not have medical education, my passion is translating medical research texts, medical records/documents. I enjoy deciphering medical abbreviations and difficult-to-read handwriting of doctors.
Owing to my characteristic features, such as diligence, responsibility, accuracy and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills, translation proved to be a good occupation for me since I can turn my dedication to details to my advantage.
Thank you for your interest! |
