Bio
I'm a professional translator currently based in South Korea, in the paradise island of Jeju Island.

My career as a translator started in 1997, during my studies in the university, and at that time, it was part-time, mostly working with companies to pay my tuition.
After graduation, I've worked for a trading company that specializes in import, export, marketing and contracting European cosmetics.

Currently, I'm a full-time translator, since Year 2010.
I translate KOR->EN, EN->KOR, and specialize in the translation of various documents, manuals, books, and also video translation (including sync, subtitling).

I've lived in the states (USA) for 6 years, 3 years in California and 3 years in Ohio, and during my career in the trading company, I've travelled and lived in Europe (France) for about a year.
So, I'm a native speaker and writer both in Korean and English.

I feel that the most important thing for a good translator is not education, but experience.
Each document has its own purpose, thus, the translator must translate the document according to its needs. For example, a contract cannot be translated in the style of an busines e-mail.
Through my experience as a professional translator for almost 15 years, I've experienced almost all fields, documents and situations.

I've translated speech for Ban Ki-Moon, the UN Secretary General during his visit to South Korea in an important event, and translated training manuals for Samsung Electronics, which was the Harvard Business School Book.
Also, I have many experience in legal documents, thesis, manuals, and others.

Lastly, I think that a translator must be diligent, responsible, and precise in the job that he/she is given.
I am proud that I've never missed a deadline that was given to me, and I promise to all of you that rely on me for translation, that I will do my best to satisfy the needs and requirements.

Thank you, and feel free to contact me anytime through e-mail ([email protected]) for any inquires.
