“Oh, you foolish Alice!” she answered herself. “How can you learn lessons in here? Why, there’s hardly room for you, and no room at all for any lesson-books!”
And so she went on, taking first one side and then the other, and making quite a conversation of it altogether; but after a few minutes she heard a voice outside, and stopped to listen.
Translation - German „Doch dann,“ dachte Alice, „werde ich nie älter als ich es jetzt bin? Das wäre ein Trost, auf einer Seite wäre ich nie eine alte Frau… aber, dann müsste ich doch stets Neues lernen! Uff, das würde ich nicht wollen!“

The night previous to my departure a woman was brought in, weeping bitterly, and leading by the hand a little child. They were Randall's mother and half-sister. On meeting them he was overjoyed, clinging to her dress, kissing the child, and exhibiting every demonstration of delight. The mother also clasped him in her arms, embraced him tenderly, and gazed at him fondly through her tears, calling him by many an endearing name.
Translation - German Ich blieb für etwa zwei wochen in Williams Sklavenlager [in Washington D. C.]. Eine Frau wurde die Nacht vor meines Abgangs bitterlich weinend reingebracht, mit einem kleinen Kind bei Hand. Sie waren Randalls Mutter und Halbschwester. Als er sie traf war er so glücklich, er klammerte sich an ihr Kleid, küsste das Kind und zeigte jede mögliche Geste von Freude. Die Mutter greifte ihn in ihren Armen, umarmte ihn zärtlich, sah ihn herzlich durch ihre Tränen an und sprach ihn mit vielen liebevollen Namen an.

I was born in Switzerland, and grew up in a bi-lingual (German / English) household. As a teenager, I moved to London, where I began my career in localisation (specifically QA) in the video games industry on games, ranging from Sonic Generations, to heavily story-driven titles such as Final Fantasy XIV (with a word count of over one million.)
I am also a professional actor, working mostly in English. I trained in London.
