My Personal Statement about Medical Translation

(Go to www.callmedtrans.com for my web page)

I am currently a research scientist with medical doctoral degree (MD) and phylosophy doctoral degree (PhD) in Cardiovascular Research Institute College of Medicine at Texas A&M University. I have experience for free lance translator for 13 years in medical translation. Before I came to USA, I have been practicing as a cardiologist for 7 years and working also as an instructor in medical school in China. I translated and published a professional book about cardiovascular disease that consists of 1 million Chinese characters long. Being proud of that I was in charge of the Chinese translation of the English journal, Clinical Gastrointestinology Update, for which I was also the translator and proofreader. Furthermore, I was the major translator for the first page of the Chinese Medical Tribune, published by the Chinese Ministry of Public Health, which is the counterpart of the Medical Tribune in the United States. I am proud to have had the experience of introducing a drug for treatment of depression in China in 1998. In that project, the document included all data about basic pharmacology, data about clinical trials stage I, II and III toxicology, etc. and it was composed of 7.5 million English words. In total, I have translated approximately 30 million English words to Chinese. In consensus, I am able to translate 14 thousand English words into Chinese per night. My specialty includes medicine and medicine-related areas, such as biomedical technology, pharmaceutical and modern cellular and molecular biology, gene medicine, etc. For translating Chinese to English, my nightly rate is 5000 Chinese characters.

Also, I have experience at serving as a simultaneous interpreter for medical students from English to Chinese for all areas of the medical curriculum.

I guarantee my translation quality and promise best translation service in prompt submission to my client.
