I notice there are several \"call for resumes and rates\" that are not for specific jobs. They are wide \"sweeps\" for resumes. Is this right according to proz rules? Why don\'t people do their own look up of translators?

Hi Jane Aug 10, 2002

Yes, some agencies do post resumé calls (and some of them are BB agencies), but if you are referring to two recent ones in behalf of Geoc-It, those have been closed as commercial postings and not job offers.

Hello Jane,

Calls for résumés from agencies are a great starting point for many translators wishing to get going with agencies looking for new talent. Could be the start of a beautiful working relationship for some. No harm in that!

Nikki
