Well, I have lived in the UK nearly all my life, and I know it as "two thousand and fourteen"; I have never heard anybody in my social/work network say "twenty fourteen"

Two thousand and fourteen (and also two thousand fourteen... omitting the 'and') seem far more natural to me than 'twenty fourteen'.
