I was a bit disappointed that more people did not show up, but it was a very hot evening and that probably was a deciding factor for many. Karen Hoffman had written to me prior to the event to let me know she would not be able to make it.
In the end only Gudrun Dauner and I showed up. We enjoyed a very nice evening over some beer and snacks, chatting about how each of us had ended up in the translating business after starting off in other fields.
We only took one picture (selfie) that I am having trouble uploading. I will see how I can work that out.
I hope to be able to meet more people in future powwows, I think this is a wonderful idea for meeting colleagues and talking about our different careers.
It was great meeting you at the powwow on Saturday, and I\'m glad we had a great evening chatting. I hope we can see each other some time in the future.
