Japanese term

全体統制

Japanese to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
This word appears throughout a PPT presentation. An example sentence is the following:
全体統制下で「業務」「物」の流れを横断的・有機的に実現し、コストパフォーマンスと業務改善効果を高めます。

What is a good translation for this term? I know literally it is "overall/general control," but that doesn't seem to fit.

Discussion

Joe L Oct 9, 2006:
Thanks, Casey. I'll enter it as "system" in the glossary.
Hope "comprehensive" was okay for "全体".
Don't work too hard on your national holiday, over there!
casey (asker) Oct 8, 2006:
I should have mentioned this is an outsourcing company.

Under a comprehensive plan for control/control plan

Could you make this kind of verbiage work?

If you don't like "plan", you could say
"system" or "regime" or almost anything
(except for slitted trenches).
