Ramey not odd. These are huge machines, and operators have to step up to a platform to reach the hopper. Thus the interlocking so that they cannot fall in or have other awful accidents.

Not necessarily The 'Auftritt' and the Trichter ([feed] hopper?) might be located next to each other, depending on the plant/machine design. A picture/drawing would help.

Thanks Steffen I was asking as "Auftritt" is in the same breath as Trichter. Were it actually meant to be "Auftritt", that would seem odd, don't you think?

No, Ramey 'Auftritt' in the sense of 'Auftrittsfläche' (area for the operator/fitter to stand on) might be perfectly possible, such as in https://osha.europa.eu/fop/rheinland-pfalz/de/good_practice/... (pp. 79, 87, 323).

no, it's the Auftritt. I've covered the CEN groups standardising the bakery machines for years. This is a Teigteilmaschine (dough dividing machine). It has a platform, and Trichter is the hopper. Verriegelung in standardisation speak is "interlock/ing". This is about the safety of workers. I give it CL 5 (usually I give CL 3) but I am 100% sure.

Provided 'Auftritt' is the same as 'Auftrittsfläche', this might be translated as above (unless, of course, we are talking of an entire landing/platform). A picture/drawing would help.

Falls es sich wirklich um Tritte handelt.

Ich musste vor einiger Zeit auch Teigteil- und andere Bäckereimaschinen auf sicherheitstechnische Aspekte prüfen, ich müsste aber erst in meinen Unterlagen nachsehen, ob 'Auftritt' noch für andere Teile verwendet wird.
