I decided to become a Korean to English editor and translator after I fell in love with the Korean language and culture when I moved to Seoul in 2009. I started out teaching conversational English in a high school, but found myself drawn to learning the characters, and then to speak, read, and write. I lived in South Korea for six years, and passed Level 4 of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) at the conclusion of my studies.
As of June 2020 I work for a range of translation agencies providing localization services. I am currently translating an upcoming webtoon (KO-EN) for Lezhin Entertainment. I was a translator for "Lookism" (외모지상주의), the hit online webtoon (웹툰) by Naver, and specialize in non-technical translations such as news articles, HR documents, websites, textbooks, etc. I edit a range of documents relating to business and technology, contracts, as well as academic manuscripts including theses, essays, and the like.
