I rarely make coffee for myself, though I do drink it when I'm out. I'd sorely miss tea if it wasn't available, though I certainly wouldn't say my work depended on it! | | | No coffee for me | Sep 12, 2009 |
I only drink it when I visit my Granny. Yet only if I don't have to burn the midnight oil, as I get awfully tired if I drink coffee. Same thing for energy drinks. -.- If I have to work late, I drink about 3 litres of WATER during the night. Well, herbal tea if it's cold outside. | | | Niraja Nanjundan (X) Local time: 11:40 German to English Coffee at times..... | Sep 12, 2009 |
....but I'm more of a tea drinker - Indian, Sri Lankan, Chinese - and I like all kinds of herbal tea too. I agree with Catherine that my work doesn't depend on it, but making a cup of tea or coffee for myself is always a good excuse to stop working and have a break

I'm not addicted, but a small espresso is a must mid-morning. Then maybe a mug of instant coffee in the afternoon. However, this has nothing to do with work, it's a family ritual. No tea for me, I was brought up on it at home in Scotland and now I can't abide the stuff. | | | Mark Nathan France Local time: 08:10 Member (2002) French to English + ... | jacana54 (X) Uruguay English to Spanish + ...
My brain only starts to work after the second cup of coffee... And during the day I need many many more. The truth is that it's instant coffee, so it probably has to do with sipping something warm. Sometimes I turn to herb teas, in summer to water... but basically, I can't live without coffee | | | It helps, but I am a coffee-drinker... | Sep 12, 2009 |
even when I am not working, so...

Lots of tea in the morning, a fair amount of water in the afternoon. | | | I miss an option: it helps | Sep 12, 2009 |
Coffee is not absolutely necessary - but it really helps. When it comes to healthier staff I drink a lot of green tea Cheers S | | | Cristina Munari Italy Local time: 08:10 Member (2008) English to Italian + ... Espresso macchiato | Sep 12, 2009 |

However, in the afternoon I turn to iced tea in summer and green tea or white tea (without lemon or milk) in winter. Surprisingly, tea helps me relax, but coffee helps me wake up. And if it's really cold, I also enjoy a cup of hot chocolate!

Yes and no. In fact I'm unable to do anything without a mug of coffee at breakfast. But now it suffices, I'm awake and okay for the rest of the day. I don't need to absorb caffeine every two hours (it wasn't the case years ago, so I think I'm somehow detoxified). The only exception is when I have to work all night long (fortunately, now it's rare) : in this case, I take another coffee or a redbull.
is what I drink a lot of, especially Earl Grey, but also fennel, lemon and ginger, peppermint and jasmine. I need a hot drink evry 2 hours really... In the morning, I can't really start without 2 or 3 cups of strong tea and then I'm in business...the caffeine starts kicking in and work becomes efficient. My little addiction... | | | Henry Hinds United States Local time: 00:10 English to Spanish + ... In memoriam
Yes, I miss that option also. I can work without it, but I generally start off the morning with my coffee. Why suffer? Only rarely do I have any during the rest of the day. | | | Pages in topic: [1 2] > | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: How much does coffee help in your work?
