Does anybody know if this dictionary is available in CD-ROM? Thanks!
I don't think so... | Nov 14, 2010 |
But it's lovely to use on paper in my opinion. If the existance of the book in CD-ROM is a requirement to buy it in your case, I recommend you to reconsider it. It is a very good dictionary indeed... even on paper.
Not available in CD-ROM | Nov 14, 2010 |
I know the author in person and no, it is not available in CD-ROM. Anyway, it is the best dictionnary in its class. A MUST have.

I agree on previous opinions. That dictionary is a must-have one on any medical translator's shelf.
I guess you know it, but just in case you can find some interesting articles by Fernando Navarro on Panace@ at: http://medtrad.org/panacea/IndiceGeneral.htm

Thanks a lot for your comments. I have it on paper and it´s REALLY useful. Just thought it would be a good idea to have it in CD-ROM. Thanks again!
Does anybody know if the diccionary is still available? I live in Argentina and I can not buy it (actually, I can not find it )
I think it is! | Feb 21, 2013 |
I have the 2nd edition, which I bought less than a year ago, as far as I can remember. Maybe you want to ask the Spanish bookshop I got it from, Licitec in Madrid. Please feel free to email me for the email address of the person I usually get in touch with.
It is but... | Feb 22, 2013 |
The dictionary is still available, but Fernando (the author) says he is working in a third edition thaw will be in electronic format (not sure if CD-ROM or online). He wants to issue it during this year, as far as I know. I can ask him if you want.

Hi Concepción, do you happen to know me how to get hold of the book please? It seems to be really hard to find and when available priced at £300 and over from the US.
I live in the UK but can ask my family in Spain.
Many thanks

I would go for a subscription | May 22, 2016 |
I think that the third edition of the dictionary is only available online at Cosnautas.
With the 2nd edition of the "Libro rojo" on sale for a minimum of 250 euros if you are lucky, if you specialise in medical translation your best bet is to go for a yearly subscription to Costautas. You can see the prices here: http://www.cosnautas.com/registro.html

The current subscription price is 52 euros a year, which is reasonable if you work in the field as your main source of income. ▲ Collapse
