However, according to Laurent, this has HAPPENED at least once (in an OBJECTIVELY documented way), so I think it is worth contemplating. Also, maybe this is not THAT MUCH outlandish a happening.

There ARE people who don't care about consistency and whatever else if they can get, say, 7.000 folding euro (or dollar) banknotes out of nothing, and don't care about whether the client screams blue murder or not afterwards -and if there is luck and the end result is worth anything for once, he can always boast about it without crediting anybody about it -and trying again later on. ▲ Collapse | | | More to the point? | Dec 4, 2011 |

You are welcome. I just gave you some reasons why this is not a viable modus operandi. You simply cannot get anything which can be called a translation that way. If there really are clients who do not care at all about quality or agencies who are ready to deliver random texts in the target language just to be paid (but only once), then there is a much simpler way - just use machine translation. I am pretty sure that a text done by 200 translators will be quite comparable in quality.
However, if the prospect of doing a test for nothing (which, incidentally, happens quite often even with honest agencies) is so dreadful, just don't do free tests. See? Problem solved. | | | This "kind" of people ... | Dec 5, 2011 |

I have worked in a Correctional Facility in the past (because I am a Social Worker Bachelor) ... in Brazil ... we normally call it an Antisocial Personality Disorder of medium severity, they just want an easier way to get to the money (known as "scammers", swindlers, etc ...) never minding about consequences to others. In general population can occur in an estimate of about 0.5% to 3% of people, so that is why I think it is possible in the Industry we work in. | | | 주제 내 페이지: < [1 2] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Entire projects translated for free...
