How is "not replying" in compliance with the guidelines that clearly state that you *should* "answer"? As it is phrased, the point applies to all inquiries; I see no possible leeway except in the interpretation of "inquiry" (but English is not my native language, so perhaps there is something lost in translation).

BTW, I'm honestly not trying to stir the pot here, this issue was discussed when the guidelines first appeared (check out this thread as an example) and many colleagues refused to endorse them due to this particular point. Personally, I gave it a long thought, and after much debate decided that I could have a quick template to answer those pesky 2-cents-per-word inquiries that I used to flat-out ignore before. In the grand scheme of things, I lose maybe 1 or 2 hours a year researching and answering those, so I believe the overall balance is still positive.
My only intention was to alert Rolf about the point in question (so when in doubt, as he obviously was given this thread, he could write a quick reply and rest assured he did his due).
