Received an employment letter from Apex Aug 19, 2015

I received this morning the US letter but there is no request to pay anything. Red flag was the Gmail account and just found this forum. Will send an email to the agency.

Unfortunately many translators think of themselves as "artists" and not business people, which is why they are vulnerable to scams like this. Performing due diligence is a basic element of risk management.

Two parallel threads Aug 19, 2015

Dear members,
There are two parallel threads on this same issue. I am closing this one and I have renamed the other. Please keep this discussion in thread Scammers impersonating agency and asking for money "to verify translators identity"
Regards,
Enrique
