I am sure there are different ways to express it, but what came to my mind is to use the word, cater. One of my dictionaries says:
If you cater for somebody/something, you provide the things that they need; if you cater to sb/st you give them what they want.
Hence the choice of "to."
Another dic says cater for is British and cater to is American. I have to think what Canadians say... I thought they say cater towards.

There are many ways you could express this, but this is the most literal. It also is slightly ironic, since normally you would say the people are looking at the TV, not the other way around.
