Did you receive anything in written on terms and conditions?

It is not a problem for a serious representative of a reputable US agency to drop few lines by email to confirm the order, even on Sunday.

It has been a long while Aug 13, 2007

I ended up getting paid very late with lots of excuses each time to postpone payment. I wrote them a bad review on BB and that was it. Never heard from them again, but at least I got the check.
